Affiliate Disclosure

Age in Place Lab is free to use. We do not sell tubs, ramps, grab bars or any other product. We pay for the site through affiliate commissions, and in the future possibly through advertising and referrals to installers.

What an affiliate link is

Some links on this site go to retailers or manufacturers that pay us a commission when you buy something after following the link. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.

How we label them

• Product recommendations with affiliate links appear in clearly marked sections, and each of those sections carries a short disclosure right next to the links.
• Every page also carries a disclosure in the footer.
• Affiliate links are marked in the page code as sponsored, as search engines ask publishers to do.
• Links to government agencies, standards and the research we cite are never affiliate links.

Commissions never change an estimate

Our calculators and our recommendations are built separately. The code that produces a cost estimate, a ramp length or an audit score does not read any information about affiliate programs, so a commission cannot change a number you see. The figures come from the published sources listed on our How We Estimate page.

Product recommendations appear only after your result, never before it, and seeing your result never requires an email address.

Programs we work with

We will list each affiliate program here once it has approved this site.
